Excited about joining the Humanitarian Coaching Network

I am delighted to share some exciting news. I have been approved as a coach for the Humanitarian Coaching Network (HCN), a platform that connects humanitarian staff with professional volunteer coaches from around the world. This opportunity is not just a personal achievement, but a meaningful way to give back and support those who dedicate their lives to humanitarian and development work.

What is the Humanitarian Coaching Network?

ree

The Humanitarian Coaching Network (HCN) was established with a noble mission: to provide an innovative and cost-effective way of supporting the wellbeing and professional growth of humanitarian staff. Since its inception in 2013, HCN has grown to include over 500 coaches globally. The network is designed to serve humanitarian and development organisations, particularly focusing on staff in isolated and complex posts.

HCN connects these organisations with a diverse cohort of volunteer coaches, providing them with a robust support system. Individuals from partner organisations are entitled to four hours of coaching over a period of five to six months. This structure ensures that the staff can receive consistent and meaningful support tailored to their specific needs and challenges.

Why This Matters

Being part of the HCN allows me to support those who give their all every day in service of others. Humanitarian workers often operate in some of the most challenging environments, facing both physical and emotional stress. By providing them with professional coaching, HCN helps them build resilience, enhance their skills, and ultimately improve their ability to serve communities in need.

Looking Ahead

As I embark on this journey with HCN, I am filled with a sense of purpose and excitement. I look forward to the opportunity to empower humanitarian staff, helping them navigate their challenges and thrive in their crucial roles. This role aligns perfectly with my commitment to personal and professional growth, embodying the principles of Elevate, Empower, and Thrive.
